The Moonraker understands Swindon have offered Ameen a two-year senior contract, with an option of a third, and Holloway has had a one-on-one conversation with the forward about his future.

Perhaps it is that he and Clarke share a natural affinity given their Bristolian backgrounds. Whatever, Holloway sees a bit of himself in his captain – and his captain has evidently bought into what the Town boss is trying to achieve.

Ollie Clarke, Ryan Delaney, Grant Hall, Joel McGregor, and Harrison Minturn all remain sidelined. They will be joined in their absence this weekend by Connor Ripley, Billy Kirkman and Danny Butterworth.
What exactly does Ian Holloway have in mind? Is it possible given the financial situation at the club, and the resources available to him? And how much is achievable ahead of next season?

The Moonraker understands the club have now put an offer to Ameen, which would make him a long-term part of the County Ground squad. A firm decision has yet to be reached by the player on whether he wants to sign on in Wiltshire.
31.03.25News
Captain Ollie Clarke has missed the last two games through injury, while Grant Hall is a long-term absentee. Ryan Delaney has not featured for Town since the draw at Doncaster on March 8.
As it happens, Swindon Town are not excessive for price. Their rates are largely in line with their peers and historic trends. So why has the reception to a creditable campaign been met with so much antipathy?

Holloway put pen to paper on a three-year deal early on Friday morning (March 28), following a long-protracted process. He can now get about the business of building a squad capable of promotion.
28.03.25News
Holloway’s resurrection job has given Swindon the longest possible pre-season for 2025/26. They will have nearly five months to prepare, yet it is hard to shake the feeling that the opportunity is already being wasted.

Ameen has not yet signed a professional contract with Town, whom he joined as a 16-year-old following his release from QPR nearly two years ago.

Head groundsman Matt Povey has presented a proposal to stitch the pitch. The catch? It comes with a £150,000 price tag. Holloway is completely behind the plan.
Ryan Delaney and Joel McGregor missed sessions this week, increasing the number of players absent for various fitness-related reasons.
21.03.25News
As reported by The Moonraker earlier this week, Holloway and the club have agreed the terms of a new contract, and preparations behind the scenes have already begun for 2025/26.
As the most recent Advisory Board minutes throw up yet more questions, The Moonraker looks into the opaque world of County Ground accounts.

Ian Holloway's contract, the backroom stucture, the future of a dozen players, redevelopment plans... Swindon have a chance to get ahead of the game for 2025/26, so what is the hold up?
19.03.25Opinion
It has been a difficult year for players and coaches at Swindon, with multiple instances of familial tragedy and trying personal circumstances. All football clubs experience these events, but Town seem to have received a particularly unfair share these past nine months.

Kirkman has not been seen in a Town shirt since the 2-0 home win over Barrow on January 18 after suffering a knee ligament sprain, while Minturn's absence has been even longer.

McGurk was substituted, having already been introduced as a substitute, during Yeovil's defeat at Halifax. The problem has proven to be significant enough for the forward to be sent back to Swindon.
Clarke has only had one full training session with the rest of the squad this week but is ready to take his place in the middle of midfield for the visit of Cheltenham.
Architects are due to talk the two groups through the proposals on Thursday (March 13), in the first step towards the work receiving the green light from relevant parties.

Club, manager and fans are all ready to take the relationship further, and yet there is seemingly stasis. Why? What is getting in the way? And how long can this go on before it becomes detrimental to the Swindon cause.
12.03.25Opinion
McGurk came off the bench during Yeovil's 1-0 defeat at Halifax on Saturday (March 8) but lasted just 13 minutes before the injury forced his withdrawal.
