While the sentiment of the event was discontent, the 30 minutes spent at Statue Park did act as an uplifting unifier. It was a reminder of how much football fans share together, and how much they care about their club.

‘Judge me at the end of the season,’ Ian Holloway continues to say. That seems like a fair request. In turn, maybe Holloway can tone down some of his public ill-feeling. Call it a Christmas truce. Call it a compromise of convenience, if you need to. Call it whatever you want.

McGregor has a similar issue to Harrison Minturn. The full-back has complained of pain in his groin when attempting to accelerate, and is being seen to by Swindon's medical team.

If you are one of those SN1 debutants, fear not. You have not stumbled into a Dutch national match. Nor are you in the middle of a protestant march. No, orange is the adopted colour of revolt at Swindon Town.

Four weeks ago, as the dust settled on Swindon Town’s dismal home defeat by Morecambe, three friends started furiously WhatsApping. That evening, The Spirit of 69 – a fan protest movement – was conceived.
In order to protect the money he has already put into the club - in initial equity and in subsequent loans - Morfuni needs to chase survival.
