SWINDON TOWN vs COLCHESTER UNITED: Holloway will get the chance to do the job he says he’s been craving, returning to an EFL dugout for the first time in nearly four years. It is an absence which he has felt hard, and – he says – his wife Kim has felt even harder.
The average for seventh place over the past 10 full seasons is 73. To get there, Swindon would need 61 from a possible 96, or 1.91 per game. Extrapolate that over the course of a full campaign, and you get 88. Over the past 10 full seasons, 88 points would have won the title on five occasions.
